Cocciban is a synergistie potentiated inophore with combination of Monensin @ 8% & Nicarbazin @ 8 % in granular form. Cocciban’s Monensin an inophore & Nicarbazin a chemical coccidiostat offers superior performance and year round protection with its broad spectrum of action against both the mucosal & luminal life cycle stages of coccidial multiplication in intestine

Indications:

For the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens & rearing pullets (up to 16 weeks of age only) caused by Eimeria Fenella, E. acervulina, E.maxima, E. necatrix, E. brunetti, E. mitis and E. praecox

Mechanism of Action:

Cocciban Monensin acts in the intestinal lumen by attaching on coccidial cell membrance causing continuous influx of sodium ions inside the eoccidial cell resulting in concurrent water influx along with sodium ion. Parasitic NA/K pump gets activated to pump out sodium ions outside the protozoal cell. However it cannot cope with continuous influx of sodium & water, resulting in alteration in parasitic osmoregulation with resultant swelling & death of the parasite

Those coccidial cells that escape the Monensin action get acted upon by Cocciban’s Nicarbazin, which enters the coccidial cell in intestinal wall & blocks the energy regulation process of parasitic NA/K pump, thus impairing its activity further resulting in swelling & death of the parasite. Very few parasite cells that remain, activates the immune system & provide longterm protection

Benefits:

  • Effective in high eoecidiosis challenge
  • Helps in development of immunity against coccidia
  • Can be used throughout the year
  • Protects Intestinal Integrity
  • Prevents coccidiosis to reduce risk of bacterial enteritis
  • Broad spectrum of activity
  • Granular consistency supports good flowability & dispersion in premises and feed
  • Stable in all common methods of processing and preparation of the feed
  • Effective complex mechanism of action reduces the risk of resistance development

Contraindications:

  • Do not allow adult turkeys, horses or other equines access to formulations containing Cocciban. Ingestion of monensin by these species has been fatal
  • Do not administer to chickens reared for laying over 16 weeks of age
  • Do not feed undiluted to
  • Poultry should not be treated with tiamulin for at least ten days before or after receiving feed containing Cocciban
  • This coeeidi ost at shou Id not be mixed or use d simultaneously with any other medicinal product having a similar effect

Recommendation & Usage

Mixing Directions:

Thoroughly mix the following amounts of Cocciban in one tonne of complete poultry feed to provide from 40 to 50 ppm of respective monensin & niearbazin activity. The dosage should be adjusted to meet the severity of the coccidial challenge, which varies with management & environmental conditions

Feeding Directions:

Feed continuously as the sole ration. It is recommended that a preblend of Cocciban in 8-10 kg of feed to made before incorporating it into the total amount of finished feed. Cocciban must be thoroghly mixed into feed before use. Feed Cocciban formulated feed from day 1 to 25-28 days (in high risk period for coccidiosis), followed by Coccieura S till culling (to maintain intestinal integrity)
